Reddit Growth Engine
Reddit’s visibility in Google search results exploded by 1,328% in less than a year. Google now pays $60 million annually for Reddit’s data, and OpenAI also partnered with Reddit to train ChatGPT. When prospects ask AI about fintech solutions, Reddit discussions shape the answer. When they Google you, Reddit threads often rank above your carefully crafted website.
Here’s the problem: Reddit is viciously hostile to promotional content. Post the wrong thing and you’re banned. But ignore Reddit entirely? You’re invisible where it matters most: in search results and AI recommendations.
That’s the problem I built the Reddit Growth Engine to solve.
Here’s How It Works
I monitor relevant subreddits such r/fintech, r/personalfinance, r/Entrepreneur, r/startups, and any niche communities where your customers are already asking questions. I identify opportunities where your company’s expertise adds genuine value. I write authentic comments and posts based on your company’s perspective.
Then you approve. Every week, I send you a batch of draft posts and comments via email. Your content or marketing team reviews and approves them. Once approved, I post on your behalf using your company account or CEO account. I engage daily, build karma, execute strategic cross-posts to grow your branded subreddit, and handle all the tactical work.
Optional: Some clients prefer a quick weekly call to align on messaging and review content together. It’s available if you want it, but email approval works perfectly fine.
The result: Your company builds karma and credibility across 8-10 relevant subreddits. Your branded subreddit grows through strategic cross-posting. Your content appears in Google searches and trains LLMs with your perspective.

Why This Is Different
I’m not a generic social media manager experimenting with Reddit on your dime.
I’m Julien Brault, and I’ve built multiple personal finance communities on Reddit from scratch. I also used Reddit to grow the Global Fintech Insider newsletter. I understand Reddit’s unwritten rules because I’ve experiences them. I know exactly how much you can self-promote (barely), which communities accept what type of content, and how to build genuine authority without getting banned.
More importantly, I understand fintech. I track the industry daily, so when your company engages on Reddit, the contributions are relevant, and actually helpful to the community.
Why Reddit Matters for Fintech
SEO Authority: 48.9% of all Reddit rankings appear in the Top 10 of Google search results Amsive. When someone searches “[your product category] reviews” or “[your competitor name] alternatives,” Reddit threads appear above most blogs. Having your perspective in those threads matters.
LLM Training Data: LLMs are trained on massive amounts of text, but Reddit is one of the top source quoted by LLMs such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. When someone asks an AI about fintech solutions, your Reddit contributions influence what it recommends.
Technical Buyers: Your customers are on Reddit researching solutions before they ever fill out a contact form. Finance teams, engineering leaders, and founders all use Reddit for unfiltered opinions.
Community Ownership: A well-managed branded subreddit (r/YourCompany) becomes a searchable knowledge base and proof of an engaged user community. It’s owned media that shows up in search results forever.
Who This Is For
This works best for Series A through pre-IPO fintechs and established financial services companies wanting to own their brand narrative.
This probably isn’t for you if you’re uncomfortable with transparent public conversations, you need immediate ROI measured in days or you want promotional content rather than genuine value-add contributions.
The Investment
One-time onboarding fee: $1,500
This covers your initial kickoff call, Reddit account setup and karma building strategy, mapping of 8-10 relevant subreddits (which accept cross-posts), research into your specific fintech segment to identify relevant discussions and creation of your branded subreddit with design and rules.
Monthly retainer: $5,000 per month
Minimum 3-month commitment. Building Reddit credibility takes consistency, not one-off comments. This includes everything listed above plus unlimited revisions on any content before it’s posted.
How To Get Started
Book a 30-minute discovery call. We’ll discuss your goals for Reddit visibility, what conversations are already happening about your category, and whether the Reddit Growth Engine is the right fit. I’ll show you examples of communities I’ve built and engagement strategies I’ve used.
No pressure. If this isn’t right for you, I’ll tell you directly.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you post everything without my approval?
No. Nothing gets posted without your explicit approval. I send you drafts of all posts and comments for review before they go live. You approve or request edits, then I post on your behalf.
How do you avoid getting banned for self-promotion?
By providing genuine value first. 90% of our engagement is answering questions, sharing insights, and contributing to discussions with zero mention of your company. The other 10% address your directly your solution through posts in your branded community and answers under posts that are explicitly asking for solutions. Reddit rewards helpfulness, not spam. I’ve built communities this way and know exactly where the line is.
Can you handle moderation of our branded subreddit?
Yes, included in the base program. I’ll moderate comments, respond to questions, post updates, and enforce community guidelines. As your subreddit grows, we can discuss adding a dedicated community manager if needed or I can train one of your existing marketing team member.
How do you grow our branded subreddit?
Primarily through strategic cross-posting to relevant communities that allow it. I’ve mapped which subreddits accept cross-posts and which don’t. I also promote it through your engagement in other communities. Growth is slow at first, then compounds as you build authority.
What happens after 3 months?
If it’s working, we continue month-to-month. Either party can cancel with 30 days notice. Most clients stay on long-term because Reddit authority takes 6-12 months to fully mature, and abandoning the community damages credibility.
Can I see examples before committing?
During our discovery call, I’ll show you subreddit maps, examples of communities I’ve built, and engagement strategies I’ve used to grow both personal finance communities and my B2B fintech newsletter through Reddit.
How does the approval process work?
Every week, I send you draft posts and comments for approval before anything goes live. You review them (usually takes 10-15 minutes), approve or request edits, and I handle the posting. Nothing appears on Reddit without your explicit sign-off.
What’s included in the onboarding process?
During onboarding, we have an in-depth kickoff call where I learn about your company, your goals, your product details, and your messaging guidelines. I set up your Reddit company account and CEO account (if applicable). I map 8-10 relevant subreddits and document which ones accept cross-posts, how to engage in each without getting banned, and who the moderators are. I create your branded subreddit with custom design, community rules, and initial posts. And I document our engagement guidelines so you know what type of content I’ll be creating for your approval.
